Jungle View: A Meal I Regret

What’s the most money you’ve ever spent on a meal? Was it worth it?

I’m someone who loves good food. I’m always on the lookout for new places to eat, and I’m usually willing to splurge a little for a truly exceptional dining experience. So, when I heard about Jungle View Restaurant in Bhubaneswar, I was intrigued. The name promised a unique ambiance, and I was hopeful for a culinary adventure.

Unfortunately, my experience was far from adventurous. The meal cost me a hefty ₹900, which is roughly equivalent to $10-12. For that price, I expected something truly special. Instead, I got a plate of disappointment.

The chilli mushroom, a dish I usually adore, was bland and tasteless. The other curries we ordered were equally underwhelming. And as for the butter naan, it was dry and chewy, a far cry from the soft, buttery delight I’ve come to expect.

I left Jungle View feeling both hungry and frustrated. It’s a painful reminder that not every restaurant lives up to its hype. While I’m open to trying new places, I’ll definitely be doing my research before shelling out that kind of money again.
